Agent Assist & Copilots AI Agents & Chatbots Knowledge Base & Self-Service
Support knowledge platform built on interactive step-by-step guides, with AI Answers and Business Process Agents that follow your exact processes.
Support teams with complex, multi-step troubleshooting or policy-heavy processes who want guides that customers, agents and AI agents all follow, backed by SOC 2 and HIPAA claims.
You mostly field simple FAQs, or you want published pricing for AI features, which sit on the custom Enterprise plan.
Stonly is a customer service knowledge platform whose core unit is the interactive guide: branching, step-by-step content that walks a customer or agent through a decision tree instead of presenting a static article. Around that it offers a knowledge base, an embeddable widget, checklists, contact forms and surveys, with versioning, review flows, auto-translate, content segmentation and analytics. Agents get guidance and decision trees inside Zendesk, Salesforce, Freshworks and ServiceNow, and Stonly's AI Agent Assist summarizes tickets, suggests a path to resolution and generates responses.
The AI is designed to exploit that structure. AI Answers works from Stonly's structured, metadata-rich content and can either answer directly or, through Guided Answers, recognize the intent and display the exact guide to follow. Business Process Agents are the more ambitious part: custom AI agents that navigate your guide step by step, gather information and take action, deployed for self-service over email, chat or WhatsApp, or inside the ticketing system where reps review and approve. Stonly's case is that this deterministic structure keeps agents on rails in branching processes where prompt-driven agents skip steps or improvise. Knowledge Agents watch tickets, searches and AI conversations for outdated, duplicated or missing content and draft updates for a human to review.
Alexis Fogel, a co-founder of Dashlane, started Stonly with Kris Dąbrowski; FrenchWeb dates the founding to 2018 and the launch to 2019. It raised a $3.5 million seed round led by Accel in February 2020 and a $22 million Series A from Northzone and Accel in January 2022. Customer stories on its site include RemoteLock, Devialet (which deflected 90 percent of expected tickets during a major software update), Tonal, Motus, Fastned, Zeel, Siemens and Anderson America, which reports 80 percent lower call volume using Stonly's AI agent and interactive knowledge. Stonly says it is GDPR, HIPAA and SOC 2 compliant.
No prices are published. The Small Business plan, for companies under 100 employees, includes unlimited guides, one knowledge base, 4,000 guide views and five team members; Enterprise is custom and is where help desk integrations, AI agents, automations and SSO live. Signing up starts a 14-day trial of Small Business, after which the account drops to a free Basic plan with 400 guide views a month, five published guides and one team member. Choose Stonly if your support load is dominated by multi-step troubleshooting or process-heavy requests and you want agents, customers and AI all following the same guide. Skip it if your questions are mostly simple FAQs, since the guide-building effort pays off only when processes are complex, and note that the AI features sit on the quoted Enterprise tier.
