AI Agents & Chatbots B2B & Technical Support Help Desk & Ticketing
AI-native help desk rebuilt from Groove, with agents that investigate and act, unlimited users and AI billed in credits from $49 a month.
B2B SaaS and B2C support teams that want an AI-first help desk with unlimited seats, agents that investigate across Linear, Stripe or Snowflake, and AI billed by work done from $49 a month.
You need social channels such as Instagram or Facebook Messenger, or prefer the fixed per-seat budgeting of a traditional help desk over usage-based AI credits.
Helply is the help desk formerly known as Groove, rebuilt around AI agents. Groove started in 2011 as a simpler alternative to Zendesk; Helply's own about page now reads "Groove is now Helply", and groovehq.com redirects to helply.com. Founder Alex Turnbull's account of the change is unusually candid: AI drafts and summaries bolted onto Groove worked, but the help desk was still designed around humans doing every step, so the team rebuilt the inbox, permissions, data model and pricing for humans and agents working together. It is still a complete help desk, with a shared inbox and ticketing, messaging and live chat, a knowledge base and help center, analytics, customer records and workflows.
The AI comes as three agent types. The Support Agent talks to customers on every channel, investigating with the knowledge base, customer history and connected tools before it answers, and runs approved actions such as refunds, handing off with the work already done when it cannot finish. The Assist Agent works inside a ticket alongside a human, drafting and taking the actions the human approves. Background Agents watch every conversation without being asked: a Churn Agent, a Knowledge Agent that fills documentation gaps from resolved tickets, a Revenue Agent for upgrade intent, a Feature Request Agent and an Insights Agent, plus custom agents you build. Connections reach into Linear, Jira, Snowflake, PostHog and any MCP server, which suits technical B2B products.
Helply, Inc is remote-first, led by co-founders Alex Turnbull (CEO), Jared Scheel (CTO) and Tom Morkes (COO). It says 1,400+ companies use it, and that its own support went from six people to two for the same 1,400 customers. Published results: Sender.net handles about 4,000 conversations a month with 71 percent resolved end to end, Covidence 64 percent, Proposify 52 percent, and StaffTraveler reports tickets cut in half at an 88 percent resolution rate.
Every plan has unlimited users; you buy monthly credit blocks for AI work, from $49 for 500 credits up to 32,000, with 15 percent off annually. Credits are weighted by effort: a draft or summary is 1, a lookup across one or two systems is 4, a full investigation is 12. Helply estimates about 7 credits per B2B conversation and 4 per B2C, so 1,000 B2B conversations land near a 7,000-credit block at $399 a month. Failed actions, rejected drafts and setup never cost credits, and spending caps are built in. The trial is 14 days with 1,000 credits and no card. Choose Helply if you want an AI-first help desk where engineers and success staff can join tickets for free. Skip it if your support runs through Instagram and Facebook, which Helply does not list as channels.
