AI Agents & Chatbots B2B & Technical Support Knowledge Base & Self-Service
AI support agent that resolves refunds, cancellations and account changes by running plain-English workflows against your own systems.
SaaS and subscription support teams that want AI to resolve refunds, cancellations and account changes end to end under enforced policy rules, with US, EU or AU hosting.
You want published self-serve pricing, or your ticket mix is mostly simple how-to questions a standard knowledge-base bot can answer.
Brainfish is an AI support platform aimed at the tickets a help article cannot answer. It ingests your knowledge sources (help center, Notion, Confluence, Google Drive, Loom, Zendesk, Salesforce Knowledge, call transcripts and past tickets) into a continuously updated knowledge layer, then deploys AI support agents in-product, in web chat, in Slack and Teams and in your CRM, citing a source for every answer. The platform also includes internal copilots for the support team, proactive in-product nudges, knowledge-gap discovery that flags content drift, and analytics on queries and resolution rates.
The distinctive part, and the current focus of the site, is Workflows. You describe a process in plain English, for example checking every subscription against a 30-day refund policy, refunding the eligible ones in Stripe and sending anything over $500 to the billing team, and Brainfish turns it into a workflow where AI handles the conversation while rules handle the decisions. Workflows check account data, apply policy and take actions in systems such as Stripe, Recurly, Salesforce, Duo, Okta and Splunk. Refund caps and approval thresholds live in the workflow rather than the prompt, workflows are tested in a sandbox before publishing, and every run is logged with the steps, systems and sources used. Escalations land in Zendesk or Salesforce with the checks already done. Brainfish claims 10 minutes from a description to a working draft and about 2 hours to build a typical complex workflow.
Daniel Kimber (CEO) and Ajain Vivek, former SiteMinder colleagues, co-founded Brainfish in Sydney; Startup Daily dates the founding to 2023. In July 2025 it raised US$6.4 million in a pre-Series A led by Prosus Ventures, with Peak XV's Surge and Macdoch Ventures participating, taking total funding to about US$10 million, and moved its global headquarters to San Francisco. Customers on its site include CareMaster (self-service from 30 to 76 percent with no team growth), Smokeball (search-to-ticket rate cut by 74 percent), ChangeEngine, Coassemble, Kloud Connect and Vrio; press coverage adds Airtasker and Mad Paws. It holds SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 and hosts in the US, EU or Australia.
There is one published base plan, Platform, with 5 seats, 5,000 queries (user sessions) a month and a dedicated account manager, but no price: it goes through sales. AI Actions, integrations, localization into 100+ languages and extra seats or queries are add-ons, and early-stage startups get discounted terms. Choose Brainfish if you run a SaaS or subscription business whose queue is full of billing, account and access requests that need a system check and a policy decision. Skip it if you want a self-serve tool with a public price, or if your volume is mostly simple how-to questions that any knowledge-base bot already handles.
