Duckie began as a founder scratching her own itch: Valerie Li built the first version as an internal tool to answer her own repetitive on-call questions, then turned it into a company with co-founder Joel Ritossa through Y Combinator's Winter 2024 batch. The premise is that B2B software support is really lightweight engineering work, and answering from the documentation is the easy half. Duckie behaves like an AI support engineer: it investigates, searching logs, past tickets, code changes, and internal knowledge to find the actual root cause, and then either resolves the issue or hands a human a head start.

The product has grown from assistant to operator. Duckie now resolves tickets end to end, including taking actions like refunds and password resets, trains itself on your ticket history, takes plain-English tuning instructions, and scores the quality of every response it gives. It lives where technical support actually happens, with integrations spanning Slack, Discord, Zendesk, Intercom, Jira, Linear, GitHub, Notion, and Confluence. The company claims 87 percent of tickets resolved without human intervention, and a published case study has customer Grid resolving 79 percent with it; other named users include Automox, Snowplow, Mintlify, and Vapi.

Duckie is young and small, San Francisco based, seed stage, with pricing available only through a conversation; no price list is published.

Choose Duckie if you run support for a developer-facing or technical B2B product, where tickets come with stack traces and the bottleneck is investigation rather than typing. Consumer and e-commerce teams have better-suited options; technical teams get something rare here, an AI that actually goes and looks.
