AI Agents & Chatbots Internal IT & Employee Support
AI-native ITSM where admins build automations from plain English and a help desk agent resolves employee requests using only approved workflows.
Fast-growing, SaaS-heavy companies that want an AI-built automation layer for IT, access and onboarding, with a guided pilot and a 50 percent automation guarantee.
You need transparent list pricing or a self-serve trial, since Serval is sold through a demo-led pilot with a platform fee.
Serval is an AI-native IT service management platform for employee support. It covers requests, incidents, problems, changes and HR journeys, a CMDB with hardware and software asset management, and access management with just-in-time grants that revoke automatically and user access reviews. The AI is split into two agents with deliberately different powers. Catalyst, the admin agent, turns a natural-language prompt into a code-based workflow, from a password reset to a full onboarding journey, which admins can then edit in plain English or in code. The help desk agent, which employees reach through Slack, Microsoft Teams, email or the web, reasons over each request but can only act through workflows admins have reviewed and published, so actions against your systems stay deterministic and auditable.
Serval also tries to find the automation work for you. An Automation Opportunity Finder reads recent tickets, spots repetitive requests with no workflow or knowledge behind them, and drafts the workflows and help desk skills for an admin to review and publish. Background agents look for problems before anyone files a ticket (the homepage example is Macs whose FileVault recovery keys never escrowed to the MDM) and draft a fix, and knowledge suggestions flag missing or stale articles based on ticket data. You can replace your ITSM outright or run Serval on top of it, with bi-directional sync to systems like ServiceNow, Jira and Zendesk. The integrations catalog lists 179 apps, including Okta, Jamf, Google Workspace, Microsoft Graph, CrowdStrike, BambooHR and PingID, and anything else can be connected by API, MCP or A2A.
Serval is a San Francisco company. Its $47 million Series A in October 2025 was led by Redpoint Ventures with First Round, General Catalyst, Box Group, Bessemer and Chemistry, and in December 2025 it announced a $75 million Series B led by Sequoia at a $1 billion valuation, $127 million raised since August. Serval says revenue grew 500 percent in the 90 days between the two rounds. Perplexity's head of IT says Serval automates more than half of its IT tickets and fully automates onboarding and offboarding; Ramp, SeatGeek, Together AI, Mercor, Cribl, Abridge, Clay and Verkada are also named customers.
There is no list price. The pricing page describes one platform fee, a guided pilot with a dedicated deployment engineering team, and a guarantee that 50 percent of your tickets will be automated. Choose Serval if you are a fast-growing, cloud-heavy company that wants IT automation built by describing it, with hard limits on what the AI may do. Skip it if you need published pricing or a self-serve start, or if your environment is mostly on-premises tools outside its integration catalog.
