LiveAgent is a long-standing all-in-one help desk from Quality Unit, the Slovak software company behind Post Affiliate Pro. It combines email ticketing, live chat, a built-in call center with IVR, call queueing and recording, a knowledge base, customer portals and forums, and social channels (Facebook, Instagram, X, Viber, Telegram and WhatsApp through Twilio or 360dialog) in one inbox, with LiveAgent claiming 175+ features and 200+ integrations. Its strength has always been breadth for the price, which is why it shows up on so many Zendesk and Freshdesk shortlists at small businesses.

The AI layer has grown into a set of separate tools rather than one agent. The AI Chatbot is an LLM-based assistant trained on your data that answers in chat, pre-qualifies complex issues and hands over to a human with the full conversation in the same window; LiveAgent lets you choose the LLM and connect public and proprietary knowledge sources, including internal databases. For agents, the AI Answer Composer generates complete replies from the knowledge base and the AI Answer Improver polishes human drafts. On tickets, the pricing page lists an AI responder for incoming tickets, triage and categorisation, ticket summaries, a spam and irrelevance filter, and a self-learning loop that turns resolved tickets into structured knowledge. LiveAgent says built-in AI can automate up to 75 percent of conversations, and its 2025 integration with FlowHunt was announced to extend its AI capabilities.

Founders Viktor Zeman and Andrej Harsani started building LiveAgent in 2004 after struggling to support their own customers in real time, and it reached the market in 2006. The company says it serves more than 40,000 businesses, employs over 100 people and has offices in Bratislava, Kyiv and New York, and in 2024 it moved its cloud infrastructure from Linode to AWS. Published results include CS Apparel Group, whose average email response time improved from 24 hours to 6 and call SLA from 80 to 97 percent, and M4Markets, which reports an 80 percent rise in international engagement; Slido and Betconstruct are also quoted.

Pricing is published per agent: Small at $15 billed annually ($19 monthly), Medium at $29 ($35), Large at $49 ($59) and Enterprise at $69 ($85), with a 30-day free trial and no contracts. Watch two things. AI Agents appear from Small but "full setup" is listed on Medium, and the call center starts on Medium. Social channels cost $39 a month each on Small and Medium (Instagram adds $19) and are only included on Large. Choose LiveAgent if you want ticketing, chat, phone and social in one inexpensive help desk with practical AI help. Skip it if you want a modern AI-first agent that takes actions in your other systems, since LiveAgent's AI is centred on answering and assisting.
