Estimates assume 5,000 conversations a month, 60% handled by AI and 10 agent seats, at each vendor's published list price (the cost calculator's model); treat them as a floor, not a quote. Compliance rows are what vendors publicly claim, and “Not verified” means we have not confirmed that fact yet, not that the tool lacks it.
Best for: SMB and mid-market support teams on Zendesk, Intercom, Gorgias or a CRM that want a cloud phone system with built-in AI voice agents at a published price ($30/license/mo annually, three-license minimum).
Look elsewhere if you need a full omnichannel contact center with email and chat routing, workforce management and enterprise-scale QA rather than a phone-first platform.
Best for: SMB and mid-market support teams of roughly 10 to 200 people whose main channel is the phone, especially across several countries.
Look elsewhere if you need an omnichannel helpdesk for email and chat, since CloudTalk is a calls-first platform.
Aircall began as a cloud phone system for sales and support teams and has turned itself into what it calls an AI-powered customer communications platform. The base is still telephony: numbers, IVR, call routing and queue callback, a shared inbox for calls, SMS, MMS and WhatsApp, recording and transcription, and native integrations with 250+ tools, led by Salesforce, HubSpot, Zendesk, Intercom, Gorgias, Pipedrive and Shopify. On top Aircall now layers three kinds of AI. AI Voice Agents answer calls, identify intent and resolve routine requests end to end in 38 languages, and can act in connected systems mid-call, for example pulling an order from Shopify, processing a refund in Stripe and logging the outcome in the CRM. AI Messaging Agents do the same on SMS and WhatsApp. AI Assist and AI Assist Pro handle summaries, sentiment, call scoring and live in-call coaching.
The useful thing to understand is that the AI agent sits natively on the phone system rather than being bolted on through a separate vendor, and it can run on its own: AI Voice Agents is sold standalone from a $100 monthly minimum, with or without Aircall telephony. Aircall bought Vogent in May 2026 to deepen that voice agent and Piper AI in June 2026 to automate post-call sales work. Per-agent dashboards report autonomous resolution, goal completion and transfer rates for each AI agent.
Aircall was created in Paris in 2014, went through 500 Startups, and raised an $8 million Series A, a $29 million Series B, a $65 million Series C and a $120 million Series D in 2021; it passed $100 million in ARR in 2022 and Scott Chancellor became CEO in 2023. It reports 23,000+ customer businesses and more than 800 employees. Published results include SJWD resolving 90 percent of after-hours calls with its AI agent, Unbiased seeing a 23 percent service-level uplift, and Food Cycle Science cutting its first human response time from 29 hours to 12.
Pricing is published. Essentials is $30 per license per month billed annually and Professional $50, both with a three-license minimum and 50 AI Voice Agent minutes a month; Enterprise (25+ licenses) is quoted. Extra AI minutes run from $0.49 pay-as-you-go down to bundles (2,500 for $725), AI Assist Pro is $49 per seat, AI Messaging Agents $0.15 to $0.35 per conversation, and annual billing saves 25 percent. Choose Aircall if you are an SMB or mid-market support team that lives in a helpdesk or CRM and wants phones and voice AI in one product with transparent pricing. Skip it if you need a full omnichannel contact center with email and chat routing, workforce management and enterprise-scale QA.

CloudTalk is a cloud business phone system and call center for small and mid-sized sales and support teams, now with AI voice agents built in. The base product covers local numbers in 160+ countries, a visual call flow designer, IVR and skill-based routing, queues and callbacks, power and parallel dialers, recording, live monitoring and wallboards, with SMS and WhatsApp included and 100+ integrations into CRMs and helpdesks. An AI Conversation Intelligence add-on transcribes, summarizes, tags and scores calls, including the AI agent's own.
The AI part worth understanding is that voice agents sit on the same numbers and queues as your people rather than in a separate product. An AI receptionist answers FAQs, routes conversationally without a phone tree and takes messages; AI Specialist agents connect to your systems for multi-step support, returns, billing and payment calls, with identity checks for sensitive requests. When an agent cannot help, CloudTalk says it holds the caller and transfers to the first free rep with context attached, rather than dropping the call. Agents answer in 70+ languages. One support lead quoted on the site expected a 10 percent drop in human calls and saw around 40 percent.
Martin Malych and Viktor Vanek founded CloudTalk in Bratislava in 2016, starting from an embeddable click-to-call widget. The company reports $36 million in venture funding, 5,500+ business customers in more than 100 countries and over 200 staff. It claims ISO 27001 certification and SOC 2 Type II attestation, hosts on AWS, and supports GDPR and HIPAA requirements.
Pricing is published. Phone system seats run from 19 euros per user per month billed annually (Lite) through Starter at 25, Essential at 29 and Expert at 49, with monthly billing roughly 30 percent higher; Expert needs three licenses. Conversation Intelligence is 9 euros per user per month extra. Voice agents are billed by the minute: the AI Receptionist tier includes 50 free minutes, AI Specialist is 349 euros per month with 1,000 minutes, and volume pricing goes as low as 0.15 euros per minute above 10,000 minutes. A 14-day trial needs no card. Choose CloudTalk if phone is your main support channel, you call into several countries, and you want AI to cover after-hours and overflow on the system your team already uses. Skip it if your support runs mostly through email and chat, because this is a calls-first platform, not an omnichannel helpdesk.
