Comparing ElevenLabs Agents and Synthflow? Both are AI Agents & Chatbots and Voice & Phone AI tools in the directory, which is why buyers put them on the same shortlist. Below is a side-by-side look at pricing and an estimated monthly bill, channels, compliance claims, and integrations, plus when each is the better fit, so you can pick on the facts rather than either vendor's own sales page.

Estimates assume 5,000 conversations a month, 60% handled by AI and 10 agent seats, at each vendor's published list price (the cost calculator's model); treat them as a floor, not a quote. Compliance rows are what vendors publicly claim, and “Not verified” means we have not confirmed that fact yet, not that the tool lacks it.
Best for: Teams with builder capacity that want premium, multilingual voice agents for support, starting free and paying per minute.
Look elsewhere if you want a complete support product with helpdesk, analytics and outcome pricing built in, since ElevenLabs Agents is a platform you assemble and maintain.
Best for: Mid-size and enterprise contact centers and BPOs that want voice agents with telephony, pre-launch testing and auto-QA from one vendor, especially Freshworks or 8x8 shops.
Look elsewhere if you want pay-as-you-go, self-serve voice agents; Synthflow now sells enterprise contracts starting at $30,000 a year.
ElevenLabs Agents (marketed as ElevenAgents) is the conversational agent platform from ElevenLabs, the voice AI company. It is a horizontal builder platform like Vapi or Retell rather than a support product, but ElevenLabs sells a dedicated customer support offering on top of it and makes the case directly: agents that resolve order tracking, billing, account and troubleshooting requests, escalate to humans with the full conversation history, and log tickets and update cases in Zendesk, Salesforce or ServiceNow. You build an agent from a prompt or template in a visual builder, give it a knowledge base with RAG, define workflows, actions and escalation paths, then monitor and A/B test it. One agent design deploys across phone, web chat, email, WhatsApp and SMS.
The distinctive thing is the voice. ElevenLabs owns its speech-to-text and text-to-speech models and co-locates transcription, the LLM and synthesis to keep latency sub-second, with 10,000+ voices or a clone of your own, emotional expressiveness, and automatic language detection and switching across 90+ languages. Telephony connects through Twilio, Genesys, Vonage, Telnyx, Plivo or any SIP trunk, and there are 400+ pre-built integrations. You choose the LLM, including custom models. For regulated buyers it offers zero retention mode, EU data residency, VPC deployment and BAAs on Enterprise, and it holds SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, ISO 42001 and PCI DSS Level 1, plus a FedRAMP 20x Class A authorization added in October 2026.
ElevenLabs was co-founded by CEO Mati Staniszewski and raised its first round in 2022. In September 2026 a $300 million employee tender valued it at $22 billion, double its Series D valuation that February, and the company said enterprise now accounts for 55 percent of revenue, driven by businesses adopting agents to support customers and employees. Logos on the support page include Revolut, Deliveroo, Meesho, Cisco and Deutsche Telekom, though the page names no specific support results.
Pricing is published and billed by call minutes. A free plan includes 15 minutes; Starter is $6 per month for 75 minutes, Creator $22, Pro $99, Scale $299 and Business $990 for 12,375 minutes, with extra minutes at $0.08, text messages at $0.003 and LLM usage billed on top. Choose ElevenLabs Agents if voice quality and language coverage are what your support experience lives or dies on and you have someone to build and own the agent. Skip it if you want a finished support product with a helpdesk, analytics and resolution-based pricing out of the box, since this is a platform you assemble.

Synthflow is a platform for building AI voice agents that answer and place phone calls, and since 2026 it also runs chat agents from the same workflows. Agents are built in a visual Flow Designer, where subflows act as specialised agents for separate tasks and steps call your APIs, and are deployed into customer service, receptionist, appointment booking, IVR, lead qualification and outbound campaigns. It connects to more than 200 tools, including contact center platforms (Genesys, Five9, 8x8, RingCentral, Cisco, Avaya), CRMs (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, Freshworks), helpdesks (Zendesk, Intercom) and telephony carriers such as Twilio, Telnyx and Vonage. Synthflow claims more than 30 languages.
Two things distinguish it from Retell and Vapi, the developer-first voice platforms it is usually compared with. First, Synthflow runs its own telephony network, which it says keeps latency under 100 milliseconds and lets it place voice infrastructure in the regions a customer needs, while still accepting your own carrier or SIP trunk. Second, it has packaged the agent lifecycle into what it calls the BELL framework (Build, Evaluate, Launch, Learn): agents are tested in a Test Center with simulated calls before going live, and Auto-QA scores every live conversation afterwards so the results feed the next version. Forward-deployed engineers handle enterprise rollouts. The trust center lists SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, HIPAA, PCI DSS, GDPR and EU AI Act coverage, which is unusually broad for a company this young.
Synthflow was founded in Berlin in 2023 by Hakob Astabatsyan (CEO), Albert Astabatsyan and Sassun Mirzakhan-Saky. It raised a pre-seed led by Atlantic Labs, a seed led by Singular in 2024 and a $20 million Series A led by Accel in June 2025, for $30 million in total, and has about 70 employees. It says more than 130 enterprises use it. The most notable deployment is a partnership with Freshworks that puts Synthflow voice AI inside Freshcaller, Freshdesk and Freshservice, automating up to 65 percent of routine voice requests; 8x8 and AVANT signed channel partnerships in 2026. Customer stories include Thryv, Medbelle, Euro Paper and Niagara Region Transit.
Synthflow has moved upmarket: its pricing page now lists only enterprise contracts, starting at $30,000 a year and scoped around call volume, concurrency, telephony and integrations. Choose Synthflow if you want enterprise voice agents with telephony, testing and QA handled by one vendor, especially if you already run Freshworks or 8x8. Skip it if you are a small business or developer wanting to pay by the minute and build yourself; Retell or Vapi publish usage pricing and let you start without a contract.
